Kex is the Islandic word for 'biscuit' and a social hostel in Reykjavik.
Housed in an old biscuit factory in downtown Reykjavik furnished with salvaged materials and found objects from various places, Kex is an organic concept blending vintage industrial feel with eclectic contemporary touch.
More than just a hostel, Kex is like a home away from home. Here you will find a variety of dorms and rooms for up to 138 guests along with a café and bar, lounge area, heated outdoor patio, tourist information desk, laundry room, old school gym, guest kitchens, meeting room, free Wi-Fi, and more.
Kex is just steps away from an interesting array of cafes, museums, shops, bars, music venues and various attractions.
Dorms are bright and spacious with comfortable bunks and lockers. If you prefer your own room there are singles and doubles available with great views of the ocean and mountains on the other side of Faxafloi bay. Family rooms for 4 with bunks are also an option. All have bathrooms nearby. Double rooms with their own WC are available too.
