Kooljaman at Cape Leveque is a unique wilderness style luxury camp on the tip of the Dampier Peninsula, 220km north of Broome. It is jointly owned by Djarindjin and One Arm Point Aboriginal communities. Here you can enjoy a diverse range of nature-based experiences including; gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, swimming in azure waters, photography, beachcombing, bush tucker tours, spectacular walks, whale watching and bird spotting.
The more adventurous can try out mud crabbing, scenic flights over the Buccaneer Archipelago, snorkelling, charter boat trips, tag-a-long 4WD tours, cultural tours and fishing. There is also the most popular pastime - doing nothing at all but soaking up the sheer tranquility and beauty of all that surrounds.
There is no alcohol sold at the resort but you are welcome to bring your own. The road is suitable for 4 WD only or fly into the private airstrip.
Kooljaman at Cape Leveque has a variety of accommodation and has been designed to capture the rugged natural character of the Kimberley region. There are 1 deluxe safari tent, 14 safari tents, 2 en-suite cabins, 4 log cabins with shared facilities, 3 campground units, 4 dome tents, 11 beach shelters and 25 camping spots.
The stunning safari tents are nestled on the hillside below the lighthouse with unrestricted views around the bay. They sleep 4 people in a double and twin beds.
The en-suite cabins are just back from the beach and can sleep up to 5. The charming log cabins have a tin roof with a shower room shared between 2 cabins sleeping maximum 4 people.
