Take a step back in time, slow things down and engage in a full-on forest immersion with birdsong, starry skies and your own private hot tub.
The cottage was built in 1835 as a hunting Lodge but was more recently occupied by a Mrs Higgs until about 60 years ago, after which the forest slowly reclaimed it, until a few months ago all you could see were the chimney tops through the trees.
Accommodation
Up to 4 people sleeping in 2 separate bedrooms, one double and one twin bed.
Kitchen Facilities
Gas hob and oven. Fridge with icebox, sink with hot and cold water. All utensils and crockery etc will be provided. Gas barbecue outside.
Bathroom Facilities
The bathroom is located seperately in a wooden out-house, huge modern shower, washbasin (H&C;) and flushing toilet. Towels provided.
Heating & Lighting
Totally off-grid. Log burner in downstairs open-plan area. Log burner in each bedroom. Wood provided and inclusive on 'fair use' basis. Solar powered electric lighting throughout.
Outside
Patio area with millstron table and fire brasier, private use of wood fuelled hot-tub, acres of woodland within private 3000 acre estate.
