The dining car seats guests in 2 sittings. Lunch is smart-casual, while dinner is jacket and tie for the men and elegant wear for the ladies. Breakfast is casual.
Routes include Pretoria - Cape Town - Pretoria (with different stops/excursions northbound and southbound), the Durban route including a luxury lodge or the Bakubung Game Lodge. It is also possible to charter the Blue Train on other routes where the rail tracks are compatible.
The luxury suites sleep 1 with a single supplement or a maximum of 2 people. Rates include meals and drinks, off-the-train excursions. Reservations for children are on request only. A one way fare starts at €2345 for 2.
