This cottage is great for a relaxing countryside break, providing a lovely walled garden to sit in as well as the local village which is perfect for a daytime stroll. Accommodation includes one double bedroom with an en suite shower, basic and WC. The living area is open plan with a kitchen-dining area and a sitting area with a wood burning stove. There is electric central heating, a dishwasher, Freeview TVs and DVD plus WiFi.
The village holds a great atmosphere as a famous horse racing town. For an interesting day out you can take a walk onto Penn Hill and watch the horses training on the gallops. The amenities of Middleham are on the doorstep of this cottage and include excellent old pubs and local eateries, as well as a castle dating back to the 11th century. The town of Hawes is just a short drive away which boasts a Dales Countryside museum, Wensleydale Creamery, Aysgarth Falls and Jervaulx Abbey. The Forbidden Corner at Leyburn, an extraordinary 4 acre garden containing a labyrinth of tunnels, follies and other surprises, is just three miles away.
With all this plus the Northern Dales and the Lake District further afield, this cottage is a hidden gem amongst it's historical surroundings.
