With picturesque views overlooking the Romney Marsh, Waypost Farm Glamping is the ideal opportunity to get away from modern life and go back to basics!

The Strawberry Shepherd’s hut is a truly secluded vintage glamping hideaway. Situated in a five-acre smallholding, the Shepherd's Hut has been lovingly restored to comfortably accommodate 2 people for a real countryside break.

The vintage styling of the hut is a delight, with curtains made from floral fabric and a beautiful patchwork quilt covering the bed. Everything has been thought of to ensure you enjoy your time in the countryside and have a comfortable stay. The hut has a small table and chairs outside, and there is plenty of storage for clothes in a chest of drawers. There is a log burner inside to make tea and coffee and ensures the hut is cosy all year round.

When night falls and the stars start to pop out, lanterns, candles and torches provide all the light that you need. You can cook up a storm on the fire pit outside and stay warm as you star gaze at the countryside night skies, toasting marshmallows. You’ll sleep soundly in the comfy double bed inside the hut, and awake to the sound of the birds singing and animals in the neighbouring fields!

A picnic style breakfast hamper is available to be delivered to the hut, so you can wake up, throw open the door and enjoy your breakfast al fresco! You'll have a private toilet facility close by with a flushing toilet.

There are hours of walking and cycling routes from the Shepherds Hut through the Kent and East Sussex countryside or enjoy the historic close by towns of Tenterden or Rye. The Ferry Inn pub is just a 5-minute walk away, serving food and drinks.

Waypost Farm Glamping is nestled in the marshland on the border of Kent and East Sussex. Sam and Leon Coates specialise in renovating vintage accommodations and it is their passion to create comfortable and quirky living spaces to share with you.

Waypost Farm Glamping currently has two vintage glamping accommodations: The Strawberry Shepherds Hut is a restored original shepherds hut and The Horsebox is a Bedford TK refurbished horse lorry - listed on QuirkyAccom as The Strawberry Roan Horsebox. Both have been lovingly restored to the highest standard, with all furnishings and finishings upcycled or handmade. Waypost Farm Glamping is pleased to offer guests glamping with a vintage twist and they hope you enjoy your stay there.

Priced at £90 a night, with a reduction for 3 nights or more. 2 night minimum stay for weekend stays between April and September.

If you are looking for a break from the chaos of everyday life, then this is the place to be.

A holiday we won't forget
by Chrissy and Connor
on July 7, 2016
When we arrived I didn't expect everything to be as amazing as it was. Sam and her family were very friendly and welcoming, the view was amazing as was the shepards hut. But what really made this memorable is when Connor had a severe hayfever, Sam drove us to the nearest doctor and even paid for his prescription when we didn't have the money. She is a wonderful woman who will do anything for her guests which you do not find often.
For a great holiday out in the countryside and a chance to get away and relax, I'd recommend Waypost farm. For amazing hosts and feeling welcome and well looked after... I'd 100% recommend Waypost Farm.
Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday and we will be coming back next year.
Fantastic stay in a beautiful spot

We stayed in Strawberry Shepherds Hut for one night in July and loved it. The hut is beautifully converted and contains everything you need, including homemade biscuits and tea for when you arrive. It is in a lovely, peaceful spot and we had a great evening sat BBQing on the campfire and relaxing. Would definitely like to return! Sam and Leon were very welcoming hosts too and provided a delicious picnic breakfast. Thank you

The Strawberry Shepherds Hut is the perfect place for a quiet countryside break. Sam and Leon have created a cosy, homely hideaway in an idyllic setting that has to be experienced firsthand.
The warm welcome of our hosts along with their attention to detail makes the Strawberry Shepherds Hut a very special place, I can't recommend it enough.
Birthday Trip

We visited the Shepherd's Hut as a surprise trip for my boyfriend's 21st. We both lead busy lives and this was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The hut is decorated so lovely and homely with lots of nice treats and a delicious breakfast delivered in the morning! If you're looking for something simple yet special this is the place to go! Sam and Leon are lovely hosts and were happy to do anything for you. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great stay!
A perfect stay

What a perfect stay! We felt like we'd been whisked back to our childhood and a million miles from the stress of work and commuting. The hut is an absolute dream with thoughtful touches everywhere you look - we couldn't have wished for anything more. We were so touched by all the unexpected treats like homemade cookies, bread and much more. What makes this place even more special is the warmth of the fantastic hosts Sam and Leon (and the other resident farmyard animals) - we didn't want to leave! We recommend this idyllic retreat to anyone who wants to experience a unique and wonderful experience in a stunning setting. Super pubs and country walks right on the doorstep... if you can bring yourself to leave the hut! Thank you Sam and Leon - we will be back!!
