Ammunition Wagon

Originally designed and built as a War Department vehicle in 1944, Ammunition Wagon has since been converted into a stylish getaway for 2+2 guests, overlooking the steam railway and surrounding Rother Valley.

The wagon offers a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, double sofa bed, TV, fridge, kettle, sink, heating to keep the wagon cosy during the winter months and a number of convenient power sockets. Step outside the double doors and a private garden with seating and even a BBQ. Make a cuppa, put your feet up and enjoy the wonderful view of the passing trains and the surrounding Rother Valley.

Within 1/2 mile you can find multiple great places to eat, relax and enjoy the countryside. The Lime Wharf Cafe offers a great breakfast and lunch menu from Tapas to Burgers and fantastic BBQ and live band evenings most weekends! The White Hart has a great traditional pub menu to suit everybody, whether it's a chilly winters day sat by the open fire or a glorious summers evening soaking up the sunset from the beautiful pub garden.

Bodiam Boating station just 1/3 mile away offers kayaking and boat rides along the River Rother to Bodiam.

Rother Rides is a great way to see the countryside with their guided eBike tours.

Dixter House & Gardens offer fantastic house and garden tours.

Travel Kent and East Sussex steam railway to complete the railway experience!

Prices are from £580 for a week's stay and from £225 for 2 nights for 2 guests. There is a small additional fee for guest 3 and 4.

There is a 2 night minimum stay. No pets.
