Argoed Barns

Deep in the Brecon Beacons you can find Argoed Barns, a family-run site offering a romantic shepherd's hut for 2 and a Geodome with hot tub for 2. Each accommodation is set in their own secluded private spots with stunning countryside views, this is the perfect place to get away from it all and do as much or as little as you like.

The Shepherd's Hut has been built to high specification and not only features a full length bed, perfect for stretching out on, but also a wet room! With oak floorboards, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, you may never want to leave! However the lure of the countryside that can be seen from the windows will entice you into the fresh Welsh air. Outside on the spacious decking you can find a bench and picnic table plus a fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallow's on under the starry night sky.

The Dome offers a romantic off grid break for 2. What better way to get away from it all than to sit back and relax in the hot tub whilst looking up at the dark starry sky! Inside is spacious with an 8m diameter and a gorgeous wide window to take in the views and keep the interior light. There is a brass bed with cotton sheets, warming woodburner, dining area and kitchenette with double gas ring. A few steps away are bathroom facilities which include a posh self composting loo plus a gas powered hot water shower.

Locally you can enjoy a spot of cycling, walking or even a guided tour in this beautiful location. Animal lovers can partake in horse-riding, sheep trekking or piggy walking whilst those who enjoy being out on the water can try their hand at canoeing, windsurfing or sailing. There are many festivals throughout the year in this area including the Royal Welsh Show in July, Brecon Jazz festival in August and the Abergavenny Food Festival in September so do please enquire.

The Dome - Seren Mawr - has a 3 night minimum stay, with Monday and Friday arrivals, and is priced from £135-£150 a night. Please note that The Dome is only open between March and October. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at a cost of £20 per short break on the strict understanding that they do not climb on the furniture or bedding.
