In the immensity of the Atacama Desert in the north of Chile, the driest, most desolate and arid in the world, the Andean Altiplano will surprise you with its dramatic, exotic, awe-inspiring beauty.

San Pedro de Atacama is a small town surrounded by impressive natural scenery, which was the cradle of ancestral cultures. Considered today to be the archaeological capital of Chile, San Pedro continues to be a silent witness of the passage of time. Awasi is situated inside an ancient site surrounded by a historic wall, which for years housed shepherds and herders. Its privileged location just a stone’s throw from the center of town makes it possible to enjoy “town life”. You are invited to visit the church, the museum, the fair, the picturesque local stores and get to know the people.

Within the walls are the restaurant, bar, pool and living-room, as well as 5 circular rooms with spacious private patios and solariums. Crossing Tocopilla is the reception area and, skirting a large patio, there are 3 rectangular rooms. Larger groups can share 2 neighbouring buldings with a shared patio - a round room and a superior round suite.

The hotel has 12 suites built only of stone, adobe and wood, with thatched roofs - inspired by near by pre-Inca ruins. Their ample spaces of more than 60 m² (646 sq ft), with comfortable lounge chairs, large bathrooms opening out onto private patios with solarium and open-air showers are really unique. All-inclusive rates start from $ 675 USD per day, per person. All Inclusive basis includes excursions. A minimum 3 night stay is required. It is possible to pay a single supplement or reduced rates for children.
