Big Johns Chil-axn Hostel & BBQ offers value meals and basic but comfortable accommodation in Sihanoukville. Each night there are cocktails, happy hours, all you can eat buffets, entertainment or other special offers - including deals that include FREE nights in a dormitory during off-peak season for a minimum spend in the restaurant/bar of just $7 a day.

Although not the tourist trap that some parts have become you can easily reach the busier areas just 5 minutes away and there are plenty of people around even in low season. You will find the Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloen main pier close by.

From the small pool on the roof with sea breezes & Sihanoukville's best ocean and island views, along with the best BBQ Ribs, sauce and buffet, you'll find Chil-axn the ideal place to chill and relax with friends, old and new, in between enjoying the near by beach, bars, restaurants and night life, frequented by friendly locals and tourists.

Located close to the bus station, beach (600m), port and Post Office the hostel welcomes lone travelers as well as couples, groups, friends and families. No soft foam - wake up with backache - mattresses here, all have firm inner sprung.

Apart from the small pool there is a sandpit on the roof, which, as with the sun chairs, can be used to lay in the sun, as a kids play pit or for larger kids to play petanque / boules. Not forgetting the round board for people who want to practice throwing sharp objects/darts. There is also a pool table at the PartyOn Bar in front and a flat screen TV and DVD player.

There are bicycles and motorbikes/scooters for rent. They can also organize island/boat cruises and tours and accommodation as well as bust tickets to other destinations in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Two+ hour morning bicycle tours can be arranged and bikes are also available to participating Hash House Bikers on Wednesday afternoons. Dorm beds are FREE on Saturdays, to participating Hash House Harries, by prior arrangement.

There are basic rooms and dorms, but all have windows, curtains, natural light, insect screens, a fan, and their own bathrooms. Dorms have 3 sets of double bunk beds. There are sliding / lockable boxes under all the beds for security. If you want something of a higher standard book a delux room with ocean view, air-conditioning, fridge and cable TV with 100 channels.
