Carlton Arms Hotel

The Carlton Arms Art Project started in the late 80's when a small group of creative people decided to paint the rooms of, what was at the time, a dark shelter. Today, every one of the 54 rooms and 4 hallways are painted or decorated by artists that came from all over the world, brought their craft and passion and transformed the rotten hole into an unique Manhattan site where the walls explode with colour and art.

The Carlton Arms Hotel is conveniently located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 25th Street on the East side of Manhattan. It is a cheerful, basic budget hotel with lots of character. Neither coldly commercial nor hotly trendy, the neighbourhood is peaceful and safe day and night and full of shops, restaurants, diners, pubs and coffee shops. From the hotel it's an easy walk to the Theater District to the West or to Greenwich Village to the South. Subway and bus lines are very close by and go to any corner of Manhattan in a matter of minutes.

There are rooms with private or shared bathrooms. Triple and quad rooms have 2 beds. There is no room service, or TV and phones in the rooms Bed linen and towels are provided when requested. Internet service is available from 8am until midnight and free Wi-Fi.
