Crafty Camping offers contactless, self contained isolation in the woods. We have been running self check in and out for 10 years.

Hand sanitisers throughout the woods & deep clean & electrostatic disinfectant fogging machine on changeovers.

Social distancing in place for the walk down from the car park to your new home in the woods, although its rare to encounter anyone.

In addition to the existing private exclusive facilities (ensuite proper flushing loo, private tree shower, wood burning stove, bbq, hammock etc as before) they each now have the following additions:

Pizza oven / fridge with ice box / sink with hot and cold mains drinking water / gas ring & kettle / large parasol for rainy day al fresco living / own set of crockery, glasses, cutlery & kitchen pans & utensils. Also own set of tea towels & oven gloves that are professionally high temperature washed in-between guests along with linen and towels. Fast & strong 4g signal for zoomers & "home" working... Hand sanitiser in each space and entry exit points.

All of our spaces are more than 10M apart in their own woodland clearing.

During the pandemic guest are being asked to strip their beds and put the used linen in the laundry bag provided.

Crafty Camping is an adult-only, luxury glamping site in a peaceful woodland setting in West Dorset close to Lyme Regis. It offers unique, handcrafted accommodation. Choose between a stylish shepherd's hut, tipi, yurt or luxury bell tent.

Hoppus the tipi can be found in a clearing in the woods and offers 24 foot of luxury living with a four poster king sized bed, dressing table and chairs, plus romantic glass candle lanterns, a cosy log burner and even an electric blanket! Outside you can relax on your terrace with a glass of champagne and simply sit back and listen to the sounds of nature around you. An outside kitchen offers all you could need to cook up a storm with a BBQ, wood fired pizza oven, fridge, gas cooking ring and all important kettle! A few steps away you can find your own private tree shower and flushing toilet.

Bodger the shepherd's hut has an enviable location under the oak trees with views from the hammock over the pond below. A cosy and compact space this is smaller than the other glamping properties but none the less still offers all the same delightful features of a king size bed (only accessible on one side), wood burning stove, heated towel rail and electric blankets! Outside there is a fabulous kitchen and al fresco dining area plus private tree shower and flushing toilet.

Poppet Yurt and Coracle Yurt offer 18 foot of interior space with traditionally hand crafted techniques used to form their domed roof. Inside you can find your comfy king size bed with electric blanket, quirky coat stands, comfy sofas and dressing table. Outside as with the other properties there is a gorgeous kitchen and private bathroom area with tree shower!

Twybil the Bell Tent sits on it own private decking and has views over the pond. Offering an idyllic space for 2 to spread out and take in the sights and sounds of nature, it benefits from the same features as the other properties: outside kitchen and dining area, flushing toilet and woodland shower.

The site is located in Holditch, Dorset. It is a private, quiet setting very close to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. It is just south of Somerset and not far from Devon too.

Please note there is a strong and fast 4G mobile signal for those who are not seeking a digital detox. No WiFi. All properties have hot and cold running water and electric sockets. No pets. No under 18's. Linen and towels provided.

There is a minimum 2-night stay with a Monday or Wednesday arrival and a minimum 3 nights with a Friday arrival. Prices per night in the bell tent is £120 and price per night in the shepherd's hut, yurts or tipi is £139 per night. Properties are open all year round except over Christmas, but are only open at weekends from the beginning of November to the end of March.
