Domaine de Rochebonne

Le Domaine de Rochebonne comprises of the chateau, a fully restored estate mansion built in 1848, and 6 charming rustic-style cottages, enclosed in private grounds. All the accommodation comes fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay during your visit to the Charente Maritime region of France.

La Rochelle is probably the most famous town in the area. The properties are found a short drive from the beach on the mainland near the island of Oleron.

The chateau is totally private with its own private pool and grounds, and is not overlooked from any angle. Loaded with rustic charm and boasting many quirky features, to include a 'museum' area, this is a popular rental all year round. There are 8 bedrooms and it sleeps 12 people, maybe 14 with a supplement.

The 6 cottages in their own private gardens have access to the larger shared grounds and a shared solar heated pool complete with decking, sun loungers and parasols. They all date back many hundreds of years, some as far as 1610.Simply but nicely furnished they boast a wealth of ancient timbers and stonework. Each is properly kitted out with dishwashers, washing machines, microwaves, satellite TVs. There is one with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, two with 3 bedrooms and three with 2 bedrooms. Bed linen and towels for a fee.

There is also the newly renovated Le Logis - a barn conversion dating back to 1640 with private garden and access to the shared pool and grounds. Sleeps 8/9 people.

Pets may be welcome by arrangement off peak.

Prices for 2020:

The chateau is available from October to April for short breaks for up to 10 guests with a minimum 3 night stay. Weekly rentals with prices ranging from £3250 - £4200 per week depending on the month.

The cottages go from £219 per week to £1399 in high season depending on the number of bedroom and month. Only available in winter for long lets between mid September and end of April.

Le Logis is fully booked for 2020!

In high season the changeover day is Saturday.
