Gumboots & Wellingtons Hut

Tucked away in a beautiful valley within the North York Moors National Park, you can discover this lovingly hand built holiday hideaway for 2 set in a cottage garden. It’s the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful North Yorkshire, or simply to relax and unwind, surrounded by nature.

The Hut is a spacious hut on wheels, which the owners built themselves using the design of a traditional shepherds hut. It is a little larger than huts used to be and as such it is super comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Incorporated into the build were lots of recycled and repurposed wood & tin to add to its rustic charm. The open plan space is accessed via steps, there’s a full sized double bed, en-suite shower room, compact kitchen and a cute little wood burning stove for cosy romantic evenings.

This little rustic retreat is perfect for couples, solo travellers or two friends sharing. Located on the edge of Dalby Forest, it’s ideal for people who love the outdoors, walking/cycling and as it is one of the darkest places in the country, the star gazing is spectacular on clear nights too!

Wonderfully secluded, yet walking distance to the pretty village of Thornton-le-Dale where you’ll find shops, tea rooms and pubs, an ice cream parlour and a fabulous little bistro which is ideal for a special occasion. It’s a stunning location which you will and not want to leave!

The accommodation is not suitable for children. No pets. Please bring your own bath towels.

Minimum 2 night stay for Monday and Wednesday arrivals and a minimum 3 night stay for Friday arrivals.
