Snuggle up in a cosy gypsy caravan. Ruby or The Famous Five are settled on separate orchards in the stunning Somerset countryside. Somerset is famous for cider making and Glastonbury Festival. Just a few miles from the gypsy caravans is the mystical town of Glastonbury.

Each gypsy caravan sleeps 2 adults plus a child (under 8 at £15 extra a night). In addition to the gypsy caravans, there are vintage caravans to compliment both Ruby and The Famous Five with further accommodation for 2/3 people.

Cooking is usually done outside on the campfire where wood and firelighters are provided. If preferred however you can cook in the vintage caravans with hob, oven, fridge, sink and heating. The private bathrooms on both sites are located in shepherd's huts. When you rent either The Famous Five or Ruby you have exclusive use of the orchard either is in with sole access to not just the gypsy caravan but also the vintage caravan and Shepherd's Hut containing the bathroom.

Ruby, has been lovingly restored by Emily the owner and is nestled in the tranquillity of a wildflower meadow at the bottom of Lollover Hill, reputedly the entrance to the Fairy world. Sit quietly absorbing your surroundings and you may be lucky enough to spot a badger snuffling about or the resident Barn owl hunting in the field. Your only neighbours are sheep, Boris the donkey and Echo a much-loved pony. The peace of this place will flow into you.

Located in a separate, secluded orchard in a very private spot, is the Famous Five wagon once used in the TV series of Enid Blyton's Famous Five Go Off in a Caravan. This is a beautiful Romany wagon. The hand-painted interior as with Ruby sleeps 2 adults in a cosy, traditional double bed with room for a small child underneath. There is hot running water and a shower in the shepherd's hut with additional accommodation and cooking facilities found in a vintage caravan on the same orchard. Be mesmerised by the flicker of flames on the fire or go for a stroll and see what wildlife is around. Often you will see cranes out on the Levels or spot a deer gliding across the fields.

If your party has more people Emily is very accommodating about bringing tents or providing a tent. Often families of 4 all snuggle up in the gypsy caravan together. Again Emily is happy to put extra mattresses and bedding in either one.

Bed linen, utensils, cutlery and crockery are provided.

Children welcome. Dogs accepted by prior arrangement only.

Available for short stays, weekends and long holidays. Single night stays permitted Sunday - Thursday. Minimum two night stay at weekends, 3 night minimum bank holidays.
