Set deep within 80 acres of meadow and woodland you can find this Mongolian yurt sleeping up to 5 people on the edge of the beautiful Wye Valley, near Chepstow. The yurt site has a Quality Assured award.
Yurt 5 is the last yurt in a field, in a gloriously sunny spot and offers peace and tranquility – perfect for those that want a quiet (or romantic) retreat.
Inside the yurt is a king-size bed, a Mongolian day bed and 2 single futons. It also has Mongolian furniture and wall hangings and other items of ethnic furniture. The large crown lets in masses of light and a rain cap can be removed for star gazing on fine evenings. The central wood burning stove has a fire guard and everything you need to light your fire. The wooden floors are covered with coir matting with decorative rugs on top.
The back door opens onto a large decked area which has a chimenea, built in BBQ and wood store and a large table and chairs as well as a bench seat. This yurt is perfect for those who want privacy or who want a large eating and sunbathing space of their own.
The view from Yurt 5 takes in the length of the field with long views over the Welsh countryside. West facing you will get the best views of the sunset from here.
Outside you can enjoy the space on the large deck and chill out on the benches and chairs. Enjoy dining al fresco at the table making use of the BBQ and chimenea.
Yurt 5 has shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
There is plenty to do and see on this farm site with children loving the freedom of outdoor space and adults loving the tranquility and beauty of the area. Enjoy many walks around the grounds, taking time to spot the farm animals including the Highland cattle, Soay sheep and many chickens. Challenge the children to a game of badminton or boules or make a den in the forest before splashing in the river. After a busy day enjoy a stroll to the local village for dinner in the pub. Further afield you can visit the towns of Monmouth, Tintern and Raglan. Those looking for adventure can try canoeing, rock-climbing, mountain biking and paddleboarding all within 10 miles of the site. Alternatively take in some culture with a visit to Tintern Abbey, where you can explore the ruins before enjoying a cuppa at one of the local village cafes.
Arrivals on Mondays for a 4 or 7 night stay and on Fridays for a 3 or 7 night stay.
