Hotel Castello di Sinio

Sinio, Piemonte, Italy

This castle hotel, set in beautiful gardens, is close to Alba and the wine regions of Barolo and Barbaresco.

Description

Hotel Castello di Sinio sits atop of the quiet and unspoiled medieval borgo, or village, of Sinio, very near to Alba and all the major Barolo and Barbaresco producing villages such as La Morra, Serralunga and Monforte D'Alba. Sinio is called the Village of Flowers and every window box and terrace throughout the village fairly drips with the color of seasonal flowers. In keeping with that tradition, you will find the courtyard, gardens, grounds and pool area, beautifully maintained and a profusion of flowers and colour throughout the seasons.

Hotel Castello di Sinio is located right in the heart of the Barolo and Barbaresco wine producing areas. The area is called Le Langhe and it is home to about 750 wineries that produce 2 of the 10 most important wines in the world. The castle is located within 5 to 10 minutes of all the major Barolo producers and within about 20 minutes of all the major Barbaresco producers.

The architectural integrity of this 900 year old castle has been maintained, so many of the rooms have windows facing in to the courtyard garden, as was the typical design during the medieval period. Many of the rooms have original ceilings & timbers and all have the original hand made terracotta tile floors.

There are 6 suites in total. 2 night minimum stay. 3 nights at weekends and for all September/October bookings. Children 10 and over are welcome. No pets. Prices range from €189 to €385 per night.
