Hotell Utter Inn or Hotel Otter Inn is an underwater hotel. It is an art project of Mikael Genberg's.

This unusual hotel is just a very short boat ride away from Västerås harbour. Guests can relax on the hotel’s 25-m2 deck or take the dinghy out to one of the nearby uninhabited islands. Once you retire, you climb the ladder down into the one room underwater chamber and watch the fish swim past your window.

The accommodation includes twin beds, kitchen equipment, a 10-litre can of fresh water, refrigeration and a dry toilet. There is no electricity but there is lighting and a portable gas heater. Fishing is not permitted from the hotel deck.

You can take the room only, including breakfast or a half board option. Alternatively you can take a dinghy ride to the town for dinner.

This hotel is open from 1 April - 31 October each year and it is advisable to book well in advance. Rates vary but approximately €120 a night.
