Gorgeous lakeside lodge offers a romantic rural retreat for 2+2 near to Colchester, just an hour from London - the perfect rural escape! Relax in the hot tub or sauna for that total relaxation! Inside the lodge you can discover a kingsize bedroom with views over the lake, the perfect spot to enjoy your morning cuppa before rising for the day. The shower room with bath also overlooks the lake, so you can relax in the bubbles of the bath tub with a glass of bubbly in hand, once again taking in the stunning views!

The kitchen comes complete with all mod cons including an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and even a dishwasher. The open plan lounge is the perfect spot to chill out and there is even a TV/DVD player if you tire of the beauty of this location plus a logburner to keep you warm and cosy all year round. The sofa opens out into a sofabed if you wish to bring up to 2 children with you.

The area has plenty of beautiful walks and cycling routes to enjoy and Colchester with its famous zoo and castle is just 10 minutes away. You can also visit several nature reserves and bird watching sites nearby. Alternatively just sit, relax and do nothing, just breathe in the fresh air and let yourself daydream.

Dogs are welcome and are charged at £20 each per week.

There is a 2 night minimum stay weekdays with price per night ranging from £180 - £220 Monday - Thursday. There is a 3 night minimum stay at the weekend with prices ranging from £180- £240 Friday - Sunday. These prices are for 2 guests - for additional 2 children there is an extra fee of £30 per person per night.

Flexible arrivals days, except for July / Aug / peak holiday dates when arrivals are Mon for 2 / Wed 2 / Fri 3 night minimum stays.

There is a 10% discount on stays of 4+ nights. Two children are permitted to stay at the nest too at an additional cost of £30 per child, per night. Please note the property sits next to an unfenced lake, so care should be taken at all times, especially with children and dogs.
