Description
Getaway, switch off and reconnect with one another at this idyllic shepherd’s hut, nestled in a serene and secluded spot with no over-lookers, perfect for that romantic retreat for 2! This magical offering includes a bubbling hot tub and a tranquil spring-fed pond with a little jetty, and the farmstead itself is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, meaning that the countryside is totally unspoilt. You are welcome to explore the surrounding grounds – there’s a viewing platform tucked into the edge of the woodland, where you can see the sea and right across the Bristol Channel on a clear day!
Inside, every effort has been made to ensure a comfortable stay. There is a king-size bed with deep-sprung mattress, en suite shower-room (with hot water, proper flushing loo and heated towel rail), a warming wood-burner, under-floor heating, well-equipped kitchen area (complete with small electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle) and even 4G broadband.
If you don’t feel like cooking, the village is just a short walk away and has a pub, shop and Chinese takeaway. For a change of scenery, the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare is just three miles away, with its Victorian pier and long promenade. Or why not head up into the Mendip Hills to experience the incredible panoramic views across the Somerset Levels or to the top of the infamous Cheddar Gorge. Something for everyone.
There is a minimum 2 nights stay from October - March and minimum 3 nights from April - September. Price per night ranges from £55-£180. No pets. No children from age 1-9 years old.
