Rural site offers families with hidden disabilities the chance to relax and retreat in a safe and welcoming space near Tiverton.

There is a 3 night minimum stay requirement in times of coronavirus, due to additional cleaning process between guests.

Retreat to the countryside with your loved ones and enjoy a safe space for all members of the family at this glamping site near Ashill on the edge of the Blackdown Hills area of natural beauty in Devon.

The 2 acre site offers 2 large safari tents, which sleep 6, a shepherd's hut for 4 and a bell tent for 4 people. All properties come with private bathrooms and personal outdoor areas.

The Safari lodges are self contained tents that house a kitchen and dining area, indoor and outdoor lounge area plus 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and attached to this there is a bunk bed area perfect for the children. A hidden king size cabin bed is a great place for 2 more to sleep or as a secret play area for the little ones! Outside you can sit on the terrace and take in the beautiful countryside views around you.

The Shepherd's Hut is accessible via a ramp and offers a king size bed and 2 single beds (one of which pulls out from under the other one). There is a small kitchen area with all you could need to cook up a basic meal plus a luxury shower pod with mains flushing toilet too! Outside you can enjoy eating lunch on the BBQ or relaxing around the fire pit.

The Bell Tent is new for 2020 and will come with 4 single beds, so perfect for families or friends sharing. This come with cooking facilities and access to private toilet and shower facilities. Please note you need to bring your own bedding for the tent or hire them from the site.

Locally there is plenty to do and see and the owners are more than happy to advise about attractions that are friendly for those with hidden disabilities. Children will love a trip to Paignton Zoo where they can experience habitats from a savannah to a tropical forest. Alternatively let them burn off some energy at The Bear Trail where they can enjoy obstacle courses and zip wires! If after a busy day they need some time out, then be sure to visit the sensory Sunflower Room on site with them.

Dogs welcome in Crivens Shepherd's Hut (1), Fox Safari Lodge (2) and the bell tent (1) but must be kept on a lead when out on site. Badger safari lodge is pet free. Please note this site is learning and hidden disability friendly, but isn't suitable for wheelchairs.

Group bookings welcome when booking the whole site only.

Crivens Shepherd hut is open all year and costs from £75 per night.

Bell tent is from £50 per night and Safari Lodges from £110 per night with a 3 night minimum stay. Please note these are open from April to the end of October.
