Megapods at West Stow

Deep in the heart of Suffolk's stunning countryside, just a stone's throw from the historic town of Bury St Edmunds you can find a family run site offering 4 wooden Mega Pods sleeping up to 4 people.

The MegaPods are simple in design yet very practical with everything you need in a cosy space, this is perfect glamping for first-timers! There are 4 pods and they sleep up to 4 people in a double bed and a double sofa bed so can suit a couple or a family. The pods are all located in the same area of woodland but are far enough apart to be private (approx 80 feet / 25 metres). Inside you can find a dining table and chairs, a wet room with WC and a kitchenette area. Outside there is a covered porch, picnic table and chairs and a brick BBQ. Please bring everything with you that you would need if camping, eg bedding, towels, plates, cups etc. There is no WIFI at these pods.

Locally you can visit the archaeological museum of West Stow Anglo-Saxon village, Abbey Gardens or Lackford Lakes. If you are after an adventure then High Lodge offers Go Ape Tree Top Adventures, which is suitable for all members of the family!

The MegaPods cost from £70-£90 per night for 2 adults. If you wish to bring the children they are charged at £20 each per night.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Sunday arrivals in low season.

In high season and on bank holidays there are 3 night minimum stays on a Friday.

Closed from November 30th until 18th December 2021, but open over Christmas and New Year. In January the pods are only 2 night weekend stays with Friday arrivals are possible.

Dogs welcome in 2 of the MegaPods - Eadmund & Wilfrun. Please check the calendar that one of these are available if you wish to bring your beloved canine. £20 for 1 dog and £25 for 2 dogs per stay.
