No 4 & 5 Steading Cottages

Deep within Aberdeenshire, not far from the Cairngorms National Park you can discover these 2 beautifully restored Victorian farm buildings. Both sleeping 7 they are great to rent individually or why not rent together and go with a group of friends and family!

No 4 Steading Cottage was designed by 2012 Young Architects of the Year and has been refurbished from a run down Victorian farm building to a modern, stylish property for up to 7 guests. It has quirky artwork in all the rooms and colourful feature walls as well as a cosy wood burning stove and fully equipped kitchen. It has 2 king size bedrooms, 1 twin room and 1 single room. Outside down a short pathway is your own private hot tub plus an amazing Big Green Egg BBQ can be found in your garden with al fresco dining furniture.

No 5 Steading Cottage is right next door to No 4 and also sleeps 7 and benefits from all the same great features. The difference between the two properties is that No 5 has exclusive use to The Smiddy, a stone building that houses a wonderful games space as well as a secluded outdoor entertaining space with that all important wood fired hot tub and Big Green Egg BBQ!

Locally there is plenty to do, although dragging yourself away from the property of your choice and the bubbles of the hot tub may be a hardship! If you chose to venture out be sure to wear your hiking boots as there are a number of beautiful walks in the area or maybe try your hand at canoeing on the River Dye. If you prefer a more sedate way of life then a trip to Craigievar Castle for a guided tour and stroll around the gardens may be more your cup of tea.

Alternatively on site, enjoy a drink at the Glen Dye Arms, a BYOB pub with roaring log fire and record player. Alternatively book a session in the wood-fired sauna for that total relaxation!

Numbers 4 and 5 Steading Cottage cost £1245 for a week and £940 for a short break until end March 2021
Week stays run from Friday to Friday and the short breaks are Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday.

From April 2021 prices are £1295 per week and £985 per short break.
