Parrandier - The Old Church of Urquhart

'Parrandier', Bed and Breakfast within The Old Church of Urquhart is found at the heart of the area known as The Laich of Moray. The Laich lies in the shelter of the Grampian Highlands and is well-known for its dry and sunny climate. It is better than ever after a refurb in 2019.

Your spirits lift as you approach the edge of the small village of Urquhart and spy the inspiring 70ft tower of the church. On top of a small hillock, the church offers open, uninterrupted views of the beautiful countryside...close to the Highlands and to the sea!

The converted church dates back to 1843 and is a B-listed building. Conceived in the perpendicular style of James Gillespie Graham it is situated in a superb rural location 5 miles from Elgin.

There is accommodation for up to 8 people within a Suite for 2-3, a Suite for 2-4 and a Single Suite, all with their own en-suite bathrooms...or each can be booked separately! Each room comes with a continental breakfast for you including tea and coffee, plus you can enjoy your favourite series on Netflix, or simply browse on your phone using the free Wifi.

Inside the property you can relax in the guest lounge with a good book, do a crossword at the table or simply admire the original architecture. Outside you can chill out in the 2 acres of garden; relax by the pond, discover the wee waterfall and stream or take a stroll along the Church Walk.

Locally you can take a trip to Lossiemouth Beach, which can be found just around the corner from the accommodation or get lost in the Winding Walks 19th century maze gardens at Fochabers.

Prices start at £70 for a night for 2 including Continental Breakfast ready at the suite for you. All rooms are at ground floor, so are accessible for those with mobility difficulties. Dogs welcome for an extra charge.
