Salt & Sill

Salt & Sill is located far out on the island Klädesholmen, north of Gothenburg on the beautiful Swedish west coast.

At Salt & Sill, Sweden's first floating hotel, there is a peaceful environment with guaranteed sea views over Bohuslän's outer archipelago. Whether you're a private or business customer, you can enjoy modern accommodation in a relaxing setting, right next to the well-known restaurant and only 45 minutes by car from Gothenburg.

The hotel consists of six two-storey buildings on floating pontoons. The hotel has 23 rooms with 46 beds, one of which is a suite. All the rooms have their own entrance and access to an outdoor seating area. The interior is characterised by modern Scandinavian simplicity with functional furniture and unique detailing. There is also a clear connection to food and wine. All the rooms are named after spices used in the kitchen and the colours have been carefully chosen to match.

The single and double rooms are modern and light in traditional Scandinavian style. Tiled bathrooms with granite flooring and weathered wood features. There is TV, internet connection and outside seating area in each.

The suite is located at the top and far end of the hotel and offers a fantastic view over the fjord and the island Flatholmen. To enjoy the sunset and the sounds of the sea from a Jacuzzi on the roof terrace is guaranteed to add an extra dimension to an already romantic setting. Like the rest of the rooms, the suite is equipped with internet connection and television.

The island restaurant has, since its launch in 1999, become famous for its Herring Platter and for serving food with a strong focus on quality, locally produced raw materials, local traditions, and its unbeatable closeness to the sea.
