Beautiful Palladian Mansion house built in 1734, set within gorgeous gardens near Gretna Green. Springkell offers B&B; rooms. Choose a Kingsize Four Poster room or Honeymoon Suite for added romance. The house itself offers a mixture of styles taking a walk through history. You can find everything from Georgian sash windows and wainscoting to art relics from Italy and Greece mixed with Regency and Edwardian architecture.

There are 14 bedrooms within the hotel all of which are uniquely decorated and eight of which have emperor sized beds (2m x 2m). The rooms are bright and spacious and come with en-suite or shared bathrooms or shower rooms, complimentary drinks and typical Scottish biscuits. They range from a romantic four poster emperor bed to a lovely family room for four, so suiting all requirements. All B&B; stays include a delicious full Scottish breakfast plus cereal, toast, tea and coffee. Lunches and dinners can be served on request. There are also 2 cottages on site, both of which sleep 4 people.

Locally you can take a trip to the Devil's Porridge Museum or visit the 12th Century Carlisle Castle and fortress. Children meanwhile will love a day out at the nearby Dino Park or a stroll around Eskrigg Reserve where they can spot lots of wildlife in its natural habitat.

Prices range from £120-£190 per night. Children welcome. Dogs welcome for an additional £10 each per night. Free wifi within the hotel.

It is possible to book your wedding here, the hotel can sleep up to 33 if booked in its entirety, with a party of up to 250 guests. The hotel is also open for stag/hen do's and corporate events.
