Ta Xelidonia (The Swallows)

A peaceful glamping location in the small village of Megali Mantineia in Greece where you can relax in the lovely gardens by olive trees or walk/drive 4km to the beach for a swim. The light and airy yurt sleeps 2 adults - and the area, just 15km from Kalamata, is uncrowded. Visit tavernas in the village or by the sea.

Guests have access to Wi-Fi and the garden. There is a shared rustic bathroom a few steps away, as well as a stone built kitchen. All produce is sourced from the garden and local organic growers including olive oil and hand picked olives, perfect for that Greek salad. Whilst here book a relaxing aromatherapy massage or try some reiki to soothe your body.

There is also a treehouse built using local labour and re-used materials - it is powered by solar electricity, has a modern compost toilet and hot and cold shower powered by the sun, on the same level.

Sorry, no children under 12 or wheelchairs as the ground is uneven with walls and ponds. The owner lives on site should you need assistance. No pets as the owner has her own. Fans available to help with the heat!
