This historic hotel opened in 1922 and is located downtown Washington. The name is taken from Chaucer's Canterbury Taies and the building itself is complied of townhouses and gives the feel of an old english manor. There is live jazz in the main fireplace lounge three times a week. The Tabard Inn is famous in Washington DC for it restaurant which has a friendly ambience and great food. Ideally located to visit the White House, various museums and the zoo.
Each room varies in size according to bed choice, some with private and some with a shared bathroom. Rooms stay true to their roots in the sense that there is not a TV on site, encouraging guests to go out and explore the city. Guests are given complimentary access to the Washington Sports Club gym. Hairdryers, irons and ironing boards available on request.
