The Coppice Woodland

Bassingbourn, Royston, Hertfordshire, England

Wonderfully unique property with camper van and bell tent accommodation on an eco friendly site near Cambridge.

The Coppice Woodland offers quirky accommodation with a hot tub, and sleeps a couple or up to up to 5 guests and is close to Cambridge. The site is proud to not only generate its own energy from renewable sources but boasts its own vineyard, fruit orchard, wild flower meadow and herb garden, meaning there is plenty to explore!

The Coppice Woodland offers a full size double bed in a covered, converted 1973 VW camper van and a small bed (for a child up to about 6 years old) at the drivers end. Additonally there is a bell tent with a kingsize bed in the woodsman yurt which can sleep two.

Outside there is ceder shingle covered dining area with large wooden table and benches. The covered kitchen area has a butlers sink and slab worktop with hand water pump.

After dining enjoy relaxing in the bright orange wood fired hot tub (which comfortably sits four) or partake in some fun with the rustic football goals, boules and natural two hole "golf course".

An oak framed hut houses the compost loo.

The Coppice Woodland is from £150 per night for a couple, 2 adults + up to 3 children (the 3rd must be under 6 due to smaller bed space), or 4 adults. You can stay for a single night mid-week.

There is 2 night minimum stay on the weekend. Stays of 2 nights or more are charged between £120-£145 per night depending on season.

Seasonal produce grown on the small holding is available to purchase.

There is no power or heating at the glamping site, so power is provided by solar lamps, fairy lights and torches. However there are plugs and a fridge in the potting shed which can be used for charging devices.

Sorry no pets allowed. Closed from December to March inclusive.
