The Linhay, Butterhills Escapes

Beautiful renovated stone linhay in a peaceful secluded location alongside a river offers a complete getaway close to Woolacombe, Croyde, Putsborough & Saunton beaches for 2 - 4 people near Braunton.

Situated in North Devon, there is plenty for you to do should you wish to explore the local area. There are many stunning beaches with miles of sand for you to walk along or visit the rugged Exmoor National Park. Devon is a popular surfing destination and good for cycling - either on the level Tarka Trail around the Taw/Torridge estuary, down winding country lanes or there are some wonderful off road tracks for mountain biking. Alternatively take a drive to Lynmouth and explore the beautiful Valley of the Rocks.

Back at the Linhay take in the beauty of the location with the murmour of the river and the rustling of the leaves to relax you. Totally off grid this property allows you to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself and your partner. After a busy day exploring enjoy a spot of stargazing at night with the clearest skies you will ever see, whilst keeping warm by a camp fire. Inside the Linhay you will find a king size bed up on the mezzanine level, a hand made and well-equipped kitchen with a cosy log fire and living area. An en-suite shower room with flushing toilet and basin completes the property. There is also a very comfortable double futon sofabed making the Linhay suitable for couples, families and friends.

Children over 5 welcome. Dogs very welcome subject to a £20 charge per stay.

Minimum 2 night stay starting Monday/ Wednesday available at certain times of the year.

3 night weekend breaks with Friday arrivals start from £340. 2 night weekend breaks available in low season. Midweek breaks minimum 4 nights with Monday arrivals start from £400. Week long breaks Monday or Friday arrivals available at £740.

Prices are for 2 people with an extra charge of £10 per extra person per night.
