Unique architecture with hardly a straight wall, these 2 eco friendly turf roofed houses are in the stunning NW Highlands. Minimum 3 night stay.

BETWEEN MAY and SEPTEMBER, plus XMAS & NEW YEAR, WEEKLY CHANGEOVERS ON A SATURDAY.

The Stonehouses are luxuriously equipped retreats with panoramic views across Loch Broom and out to the Summer Isles. They have a unique architecture with hardly a straight wall and turf roofs. They are spacious, yet cosy, with full underfloor heating and wood burning stoves in the open plan living areas. The houses include spacious saunas and luxury freestanding baths.

Set overlooking Ullapool, a 10-minute walk from the centre of the beautiful Highland village, the properties combine the best of 2 worlds - the rural and village experience. This is one of the most stunning scenic areas of Scotland with sandy secluded beaches and inlets, remote lochs, waterfalls and streams, mountain and moorland landscapes waiting to be explored.

Curved Stone House accommodates up to 4 in 2 bedrooms - a double with ensuite and a twin/double with shower room/WC. The open plan kitchen/dining and living areas create a spacious, modern space with dramatic views with floor to ceiling windows. The house has a unique spacious sauna with bay window and views, luxury free-standing bath and a spacious sitting out area where you can watch the comings and goings from Ullapool's small harbour with a dramatic backdrop of mountains.

Treetop House accommodates up to 3. This is a unique property, primarily aimed at couples. It includes a luxury en-suite double bedroom and a single bedroom with its own WC/shower. The house is perched on the edge of a gorge with a small stream which becomes a cascade of waterfalls in the wet weather. Its elevated position gives it its name, with panoramic views of mountain, sea and island vistas over the top of the indigenous forest. With a sauna, luxury freestanding bath and intimate and private spill out terraces, this is a perfect retreat for couples.

The Stonehouses have been built with an environmental conscience - recycled insulation, air-source heat pumps for the underfloor heating, solar water heating with LPG backup to ensure you are never low on piping hot water and built with natural building materials (stone and wood). The green turf roof allows the buildings to merge with their surroundings.

From May to September, and over Christmas and New Year, these properties can be rented weekly with a Saturday changeover at a price of £1940 a week in peak months. In April and October (midseason) they are rented weekly at £1800. Off peak shorter breaks are possible between November and March with a 3 night minimum from £270 a night, £245 per night for 4 nights, £220 per night for 5 nights and £200 per night for 6 nights. Off-peak weeks with flexible starting dates are £1280. NO PETS.

The owners will greet you at the property and give you tips for things to do during your stay. They can arrange for fresh seafood to be delivered from the boat if requested. Their aim is to provide a personal touch whilst observing your privacy.

We recommend that you book in advance for these popular properties.
