Enjoy the tranquility of the African bush on your own terms and agenda, camping in comfort. Situated within a malaria-free area of the Eastern Cape, TiPi Bush Camp prides itself on being an environmentally friendly, eco-tourist destination and offers a unique setting in the Addo Afrique Estate game reserve, bordering the Addo Elephant National Park.

3 large 6.3 metre diameter TiPis, based on the American Indian style can each accommodate 4 people on a self-catering basis. All you need to bring is your food, toiletries and clothing. Glass showers with hot and cold water, wash hand basin, flushing toilets and communal sink are close by. All hot water and lighting is solar powered. There is no electricity on site.

Each TiPi is secluded and offers beautiful panoramic views over a valley teeming with game. For the energetic, there are numerous walks within Addo Afrique, where you may roam un-escorted through a wide variety of non-predatory game ie ostrich, giraffe, kudu, eland, bushbuck, nyala, impala etc. Views into Addo Elephant Park give you chance to see the Big Five.

Fuel and shopping facilities can be found in Paterson 8km to the east, or Addo village 28km to the west. The main gate to the Addo Elephant National Park is 15km to the west. All roads are tarmac surfaces. Port Elizabeth city centre and airport are 80km away.

Minimum 2 nights. Approximately £50 a night - 900 rand - per tipi per night.
