Treehouses & Bell Tents at West Lexham

Nr Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England

Rustic woodland Treehouses and Bell Tent glamping set in 21 acres of lakes, gardens and forest in Norfolk, just 2hrs from London.

West Lexham's woodland treehouses and glamping bell tents are a testament to quirky accommodation. The family-run site sits in 21 acres of private Norfolk estate; entwined with a meandering river, woodland glades, thoughtfully designed gardens, wild swimming lake and just 25 mins from miles of sandy, unspoiled beaches. The ethos is sustainably-driven, running on 95% renewable energy. The unique accommodation is playfully built with salvaged materials, creating organic charm in every detail.

There are 6 treehouses in total, ranging from cosy woodland cabins that sleep 2 to the most impressive tree-top builds that sleep 6 and include a fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom.

All of the treehouses have a log burner that warms the air with the delicious smell of seasoned wood and central heating through the winter months.

Unzip the door to the luxury bell tents and enjoy views across the forest and lakes. Each is furnished boutique-camping style. They're 5m wide and 7ft tall, so there's plenty of space to spread out in. Each is decorated with proper wooden beds, rugs, rustic wooden furniture and fairy lights, with plenty of extra blankets and hot water bottles and sleep, 2-4 people.

The décor throughout the site is bright and playful, with colourful bedspreads, knitted water bottles, upcycled furniture and fairy lights. You have to see it to appreciate the level of detail that has gone into making every corner magical!

Treehouses and bell tents without their own bathroom or kitchen have access to the majestic garden washroom and kitchen – where every detail has been taken care of, making sure everyone can enjoy the luxury of a steaming-hot walk-in shower and uniquely decorated loos (yes, flushing toilets, proper basins and mirrors!). The kitchen is ready for every meal and the perfect place to meet other families and new friends. There's even a wood-fired pizza oven! West Lexham can help organise delicious food hampers with all the ingredients you'll need for a yummy meal (You'll need to pre-order).

Enjoy the garden by day and stargaze by night. The spirit of West Lexham is that glampers can meet each other, share stories around the campfire and food in the kitchen. Children can run around and play together in the ultimate natural setting. The boating lake, tennis court and grounds create a wonderful playground for big kids and little kids plus there is a heated swimming pool open from May to September for lots of splashing fun!

New for 2019 is the Japanese Meditation Garden! Take time to relax here and listen to the sounds of nature around you and the music of the wind chimes. Take a stroll via the paved stepping stones to the pagoda where you can look out over the water and take a moment to reflect on the beauty of life.
