West Lexham

West Lexham is a rural idyll, just 2 hours from London, with holiday cottages (sleep up to 15) and a luxury events barn (sleeps up to 22), that sleep up to 37 people when combined. In addition, wonderful treehouses and bell tents can be hired in conjunction to cater to a group of up 95 in a magical environment. West Lexham is perfect for large or small holiday groups, or retreats, workshops and weddings. It is situated in Norfolk, to the east of Kings Lynn, with plenty of good public transport links.

There are 20 acres of garden on a private estate in the heart of the countryside, within a protected valley. The River Nar runs straight through it - it is the cleanest chalk stream in the UK. The varying accommodations are spread between woodland glades and formal gardens so there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Local craftsmen have been used to hand make furniture, mosaics and art to create a unique feel to the place.

At the site, there is a boating lake, a tennis court, campfires, games and activities, and lots of lawns. Use of a swimming pool is included when hiring the cottages, and this is ahred with other guests here on site. You can also choose between self-catering, having your meals delivered and being fully catered to up to 150 people. Ethically sourced and organic food is offered where possible.

West Lexham is run on 90% renewable energy, with solar panels for energy, a woodchip boiler for heat and fresh water from the chalk spring. It is also built with natural and reclaimed materials using eco-building techniques.

The barn has 13 ensuite bedrooms and a large lounge with 2 raised log burners, plus a dining area with raised balcony for speeches. The barn and courtyard bedrooms sleep up to 22 guests. The Village Hall is equipped with a projector for movie nights, games and a library. A great place to hang out or seat up to 16 people at a large banqueting table.

Food and meals can be arranged if pre-ordered.

Friendly dog/dogs are welcome for an additional fee by arrangement.

The Barn, Village Hall and Holiday Cottages are available year round. If wishing to add the treehouses and seasonal bell tents do enquire to do so.

There is a 2-night minimum stay. Prices start at around £200 a night per person for the cottages sleeping up to 15 guests, or from £1500 per night for 22 guests in The Barn. Prices are seasonal.
