Bee's Bower is a completely unique and eco-friendly romantic getaway for 2 that offers off grid living on the Welsh border near Abergavenny.

The chestnut timber framed cabin encloses an oak tree, around which the staircase is built, and juts out over a little valley with gorgeous views. It has it's own meadow and is set just a stone's throw away from the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The accommodation has been lovingly designed using up-cycled features and custom made furniture to create a totally unique feel. The ground floor offers guests a basic but well designed kitchen, open plan dining and sitting areas with woodburner and sumptuous copper bath tub plus a shower room with composting loo. A fabulous balcony with fantastic views across the countryside and tree tops is perfect for bird watching whilst when darkness falls, the supplied telescope lets you enjoy the incredible starry night skies. Take the short trip up the hand built spiral staircase to the mezzanine level where you will discover your double bed complete with luxury bamboo linen nestled under the canvas roof.

Outside, guests can make use of a secluded BBQ and explore the surrounding fields. There is a pub within walking distance and a well-equipped village shop just a 12-minute drive away. Abergavenny, known as 'the gateway to Wales', is within easy reach. Access to the Brecon Beacons is on your doorstep (approx. 2 miles away) with all of the walking which it offers in the breathtaking Welsh countryside. The area has an amazing array of good eateries and pubs nearby.

No children, although babes in arms accepted. Up to 2 dogs welcome at an extra cost of £20 each per stay, but must stay on a lead at all times due to grazing livestock.

Monday arrivals for a 4 night stay and Friday arrivals for a 3 night stay. Closed in winter.

Eco Credentials:

We are fully off grid with the units running on solar power for electricity and wood for heating. The accommodation does not have plug sockets. We have charging points and a fridge freezer located in the stables (by guest arrival). Hot water is provided by gas boilers. Our wonderful toilets are composters, which we love, allowing us to minimise our impact on the planet. Our farm is organic and we are applying regenerative agriculture principles as well as seeking to increase biodiversity. We use only Eco-Cleaning products. All our bed linen is made from natural materials (bamboo). Toilet paper and kitchen roll are bamboo based so fully compostable.
