Description

Located near Tiverton in a secluded woodland glade, the cabin has been built by the owners out of reclaimed sustainable wood from nearby woodlands. From naturally fallen heartwood oak for the post and beam framework of the cabin, window ledges from cherry wood, the bed head from holly and with many other sustainable features, the cabin provides the perfect escape in the woods. With many walks on the doorstep, be at one amongst the natural habitat of many species of birds including tawny owls and buzzards, plus deer, badges, stoats and foxes. With a rustic exterior, the interior is filled with charm and all the home comforts guests need any time of the year.

Inside the cabin, there is a quirky double bed and a generously sized ensuite. For cooking, a kitchenette with a 2 ring hob or if guests prefer to cook outdoors, a BBQ is provided with charcoal.

A wood burner, logs provided, provides the warmth along with hot water for the shower. Electric is provided by solar power. As there are no 240v sockets there is available an electric coolbox which is large enough for a few meal provisions or a few of the essential bottles of champagne. However, there are 2 USB sockets to charge a phone or other devices. The cabin does have WiFi. A selection of board games, books and OS maps are available for use.

The owners now offer free guided walks around the woods. These can be tailored to the interests of the guest, each walk being different. Please do arrange in advance with the owners if wishing to take up this offer.
