The Quirky Tour

The collection of pods cling to the hillside allowing each pod its own far reaching view.

The scenery is stunning and pod spacious and comfortable with self catering facilities.

We stoked the fire on the hot tub and enjoyed a dip in the moonlight - and again at sunrise!

Description

Gorgeous timber pod set on a family run farm, surrounded by the beautiful green rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, sleeps up to 6 people with its own private hot tub.

If you’re looking for a luxurious stay you won’t find better where it seems the owners have thought of every little detail. This timber pod is truly unique and set on the edge of mature woodland with overhanging trees in a secluded location.

Designed by owner Oliver, who is also an architect, the pod is much bigger than most and is completely bespoke. Fully insulated with central heating, everything inside is of the highest quality with facilities and equipment to rival the best of holiday cottages. Sleeping up to 6 people it boasts an impressive specification and includes an ensuite shower room, well equipped kitchen, Wifi, TV with Netflix, comfy sofa, dining table and bunk beds that your kids will love.

As darkness falls, you can dim the lighting to create a soothing and romantic atmosphere where you can truly unwind with your loved ones.

The outside space has been cleverly designed to take full advantage of the amazing views and it doesn’t matter whether you are in your private hot tub, lounging in the comfy chairs, toasting marshmallows around the fire pit or enjoying a family meal at the large dining table you will be blessed with some of Yorkshires finest scenery for as far as the eye can see.

Once here on site you can forget about the car as there is so much to do right on the doorstep. Bolton Abbey is a 15 minute gentle walk away and has tea rooms, a visitor shop and of course the famous 12th century ruins of the priory set next to the River Wharfe with stepping stones and sandy beach.

Hesketh Farm Park is also literally on the doorstep and offers tractor tours, animal feeding and much more. If you don't feel up to cooking then the “Dev” pub is a 10 minute walk across the fields and serves good food and local ales. Billy Bob’s American Diner is popular for breakfast and features a kid’s play barn whilst Bolton Abbey steam railway is just over the hill with the route meandering through the Yorkshire hills to Embsay where the Cavendish Arms is well worth a stop off.

On site the farm has a lovely laid back feel and you can be sure of a warm welcome from the owners and their super friendly staff who are always happy to go the extra mile. Oh, and don’t forget to call in at their quirky coffee shop for a delicious barista made coffee and warm croissant!

No pets.

There is a general 2 night minimum stay with anyday arrival and a minimum 3 night stay on bank holidays with Friday or Saturday arrival.

Each pod can sleep up to 6. For extra guests over the first 2 there is an additional fee of £20 per adult and £10 per child, per night. Note that if you are bringing children under 3, there is no charge. The price will be adapted accordingly at time of booking when you add in the child ages.
