Description
Relaxation from the dawn of time. In prehistoric times the basin of Baza was filled by a huge blue lake where mammoths and rhinoceroses grazed under the hungry eyes of primitive European man. Their remains & fossils can be admired nowadays at the museum nearby in Orce.
Until 40 years ago this savage, beautiful forgotten part of the provence of Granada was full of small hamlets carved into the hills around the barren lands formed by the drying out of the old lake.
Today restored to its original splendour at one of those hamlets we can offer you a magnificent and unforgettable voyage back to the depths of time in breathtakingly beautiful accommodation formed by this unique way of life.
Submerging yourself in this extraordinary land, you can enjoy some of your sweetest moments in Spain, the warmth and tenderness of our Hammam, our tasty Arab-Andalucian dishes as well as the magic of the Andalucian night of your dreams.....
All around the Al Jatib Caves there is a myriad of things to do and to see. From discovering and experiencing the beautiful nature parks to swimming off the virgin beaches of Cabo de Gata or in the walled canyons of the Negratin Reservoir, to visiting the historical sites such as the Alhambra & Museum of Orce. Your stay in Andalucia will be full, fun and varied.
There are individual rooms and independent caves with between 1 and 5 bedrooms to choose from. The largest cave can sleep up to 11 people. The setting is stunning, the food delicious and the spa and pool ideal for total relaxation. Children will have endless fun hiding in the cave tunnels alongside the restaurant.
