Unique holiday experience where you can enjoy a stay in a roundhouse and experience Celtic education and activities near Hertford.

Nestled in wooded countryside, the 5 roundhouses with traditional thatched roofs, offer a kingsize bed and up to 3 single guest beds. Towels and bedding are provided.

This package is called the Family Prehistory Adventure.

Apart from your stay in a wonderful roundhouse for up to 5 (maximum 2 adults) with washrooms nearby you can enjoy the beautiful woodland setting. It is a fully catered experience with dietary requirements accommodated. The cafe is open in the day for additional drinks, snacks and ice creams as required.

Families can compete in workshops and collect Prehistory tokens and participate in the aware ceremony at the end of your stay. Activities are designed for all the family to enjoy, parents alongside their children. There is time for relaxation around the fire and in the woods and in the games area.

Activities include - Den building, flint tool hunting, field games, orienteering, team building, collecting firewood, roasting marshmallows, drumming workshop, storytelling, bat walk, friction fire lighting, cooking lunch outdoors, pottery, target archery, pizza making, tree ID, camo games, warrior headbands and face painting and raft making!

Also enjoy a zero footprink talk and live music! Never a dull moment! Your kids will love it - and all without a screen in sight!
