Crafty Camping & Treehouse

Crafty Camping is an adult-only, luxury glamping site in a peaceful woodland setting in West Dorset close to Lyme Regis. It offers unique, handcrafted accommodation options and several (entirely optional) craft courses. Choose between an architectural design award winning Treehouse or stylish shepherd's hut, tipi, yurts and bell tents.

The site is located in Holditch, Dorset. It is a private, quiet setting very close to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. It is just south of Somerset and not far from Devon too.

Guests can choose from a secluded Tipi with private outdoor shower, an en-suite Shepherd's Hut, 2 Yurts with private piping hot tree showers and one Bell Tent with a shared woven willow woodland shower. There is also a luxury Treehouse with fantastic facilities as featured on Grand Designs and George Clarkes Amazing Spaces.

All accommodation has private outdoor space with a BBQ/fire brazier and cooking utensils. They are all heated by a cosy log burner and offer a sumptuous king size bed with electric blankets, heated towel rails, electric lights and sockets.

The shared facilities include a fully equipped 'Out of Africa' kitchen with fridge, freezer and wood fired pizza oven, use of the 'sauna-in-a-yurt' and a communal yurt with sofas, games, DVDs and books.

Crafty Camping offer a totally unique experience in their luxurious Woodman's Treehouse nestled in the branches of a veteran oak. It is a completely relaxing and reviving setting with private sauna and hot tub, revolving woodburner, open air tree shower, double-ended copper bath and a stainless sleet slide.

Inside is your own kitchen, living area and king size bed. Guests can enjoy fantastic woodland views plus a window in the floor allows you to see the stream below. On the large, private deck is a pizza oven and BBQ.

In the Woodland Workshop you can join a great range of optional courses suitable for complete novices as well as experienced woodworkers and crafts-people. The courses can last from 2 hours to 2 days and offer a chance to unwind and relax. The Woodland Workshop was the venue for owner Guy Mallinson to be the 'wood mentor' on the BBC Mastercrafts tv series with Monty Don.

There is a strong and fast 4g mobile signal for those who are not seeking a digital detox.

There is a minimum 2 night stay, 3 on weekends (including Fridays). Prices for 2 nights start at £160 for Bell Tents, £224 in a Yurt, Tipi or Shepherd's Hut and £910 in the Treehouse. The whole site is available to book from £1966 for 2 nights. Changeover days are Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays only.
