Description

Crannoch Yurt sits on a family run farm near the beautiful Banffshire coastline and sleeps 2 adults with space for 2 children. With a private hot tub and loch side location it offers a great place to get back to nature.

Inside the yurt you can discover authentic ethnic design with a comfy double bed and warming log burner taking centre stage, with 2 single futons available for children, which offer a seating and sleeping space. A storage unit and chest of drawers give you some space to store your belongings whilst 2 chairs offer a place to rest your weary legs. Be sure to pop your favourite beverage in the mini 12v fridge and if you wish to stay connected to the outside world then you can make use of the phone charging portal.

Outside on the decking, you can cook up a storm on the BBQ and dine al fresco at the picnic bench. A covered kitchenette holds a double gas ring and you can enjoy washing up here taking in views of the loch. After devouring a delicious meal you can sit back on the bench and put the world to rights or slip into the warmth of the hot tub with your loved one. Alongside your yurt is your private washroom hut with shower and toilet.

Locally there is lots to explore with walking, cycling and wild swimming all available on your doorstep. Peaky Blinders fans will enjoy a trip to Portsoy Harbour, where much of the filming took place, whilst those who favour a tipple or two, will love tours of the numerous local distilleries. Alternatively take a day trip to the stunning Cairngorms, the largest National Park in the UK. Here you can enjoy walking, cycling, playing golf, visiting castles and even a bungee jump! Once back on site, book into the sauna for a relaxing treat.

Children welcome. No pets. Please note there is no wifi but there is a good 4G service.

Eco Credentials:

Much of the site is built from recycled wood with many of the fixtures and fittings being recycled items - this includes windows, doors, cooking utensils, furniture, crockery, rugs, drapes etc. There is a hand-built water wheel which, together with solar panels, generates the 12V electricity supply. Set on a working farm, the owner has planted miles of hedgerows and trees as well as digging five small lochs, to show that nature and agriculture can happily co-exist.
