Description

This cave accommodation is found close to Guadix which is a beautiful city situated north of the Sierra Nevada in the province of Granada. There are many striking old monuments to see including the Alcazaba Arabe (Arabian castle), the Cathedral with its museum and the Peñaflor Palace. It was first discovered and conquered by Juliius Caesar, later on by the Arabs and finally by the Catholic Kings.

Cuevas Pedro Antonia de Alarcon opened its cave accommodation in 1995 and offers 23 caves of various sizes to the traveller who appreciates something historical and unique whilst still providing modern facilities. There is a restaurant, swimming pool and laundry on site. For the romantic and relaxing break there is a cave for 2 with its own jacuzzi and beautiful views of Guadix and Sierra Nevada.

There are local fiestas throughout the year which will add to the Spanish experience. Amongst them are Holy Week (Semana Santa) celebrated with processions plus The Mayor Fair is at the beginning of September.

There are caves available for between 1 and 8 people.
