Description

If you are looking for total relaxation and a place to get away from it all, then Daisy Cabin is for you! Set within a private orchard in the heart of rural Hertfordshire yet only half an hour away from Cambridge and one hour from central London, Daisy Cabin has been lovingly hand built using many reclaimed materials. This is a gorgeous, eco friendly and romantic space for two that is both rustic and cosy and with surprising touches of glamour and grandeur that make it a perfect off grid, luxury retreat!

The cabin is fully furnished for comfort and simplicity in a rustic style with an eclectic mix of furniture and furnishings. Finished to a luxurious standard, Daisy Cabin has an open-plan living area, complete with wood-burning stove and a galley kitchen with small fridge and 2 burner gas hob. You can also cook on the outdoor BBQ or open fire pit. A separate double bedroom with a luxury double bed complete with sumptuous cotton bedlinen and en suite bathroom with fully flushing toilet, sink and quirky corrugated shower that pumps out piping hot water completes the indoor space.

During your stay you might relax on the covered veranda with your favourite drink, enjoying the countryside views and the sounds of nature. Perhaps you might cook up a feast on the outdoor firepit, simply toast marshmallows or maybe just relax and listen to the fire crackle. This is a place where time stops and real relaxation starts!

Inside the cosy cabin you might spend a rainy afternoon, curled up next to the wood burner, reading, talking, dozing or just relaxing in the peaceful calm. If cooking is your pleasure, the small but well equipped kitchen will be a delight and you might be amazed at the delicious meals that you can rustle up on a simple double gas hob!

Daisy Cabin is welcoming their first bee colony! The hive will be situated on the far side of the orchard, approximately 70m from where Daisy Cabin is located.

Locally you can enjoy some wonderful countryside walks and there are some perfectly lovely country pubs tucked away in the villages all around. The high street in Buntingford is surprisingly serviced with a range of small convenience shops, pubs and cafes. The Wine Bar and award-winning Cheese Plate are unexpected delights to stumble across on the small and quaint high street. Further afield and a short drive to Royston Cave with its historic carvings and the sleepy, quiet pace of a small market town is how you may choose to while away an afternoon or perhaps a visit to the nearby historic county town of Hertford with its bustling market and plethora of restaurants bars and cafes. A thirty minute drive will take you to the city of Cambridge with all of its history to explore and the shopping and café culture to be enjoyed! Thirty minutes in the other direction brings you to Hatfield and the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. Make a visit to Hatfield House and go back in time! A day trip to the coast is even possible if you’re up for more of a drive but resisting the temptation to do nothing more than laze in the orchard or on the veranda of the cabin might be the biggest task of your stay!

If you are looking for the upmost experience of relaxation and to improve wellbeing, bespoke packages that include holistic treatments ranging from aromatherapy massage to reiki and crystal healing are available too. Why not extend a relaxing break into a complete mini retreat, personalised especially for you! Please just ask when you book!
