Welcome to this lovely eco-friendly Mongolian ger yurt on the Welsh border. Enjoy woodland life with your partner or family of up to five people.
Eilian Yurt is both beautifully furnished with a kingsize bed made on-site plus a double and a single futon and some unique vintage furniture. It comes equipped with down duvets and pillows, electric bedside lights and wind up lanterns. With a log burning stove, it stays cosy all year round, so after taking in the night sky from your personal terrace you can retreat inside to the warmth.
With a spring water tap and BBQ/fire pit, you can enjoy eating al fresco or you can choose to make use of the beautiful woodland kitchen with all mod cons including two fridges, kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 gas hobs and utensils. Complimentary tea, coffee, cooking oil, condiments and herbs/spices are provided too. There is a communal long trestle table. The shower and composting toilets are situated close to the yurt and kitchen.
The site is set in 25 acres of semi-ancient woodland that has been lovingly restored to its former glory whilst preserving its natural beauty - it's truly a hidden gem. The retreat has two nature trails to follow, a brook where you can paddle if you are brave enough and a giant rope swing. Just a short distance away is the local town of Presteigne where you can find an array of independent shops and eateries. A local farm park and owl sanctuary and a visit to Ludlow Castle, make for the perfect day out.
No pets are allowed due to the wildlife in the forest. Cars can be parked at the top of the valley. Woodworking and silversmithing courses are available throughout the season, please enquire for further details.

FAQs
Yes, absolutely. We welcome couples and families alike but do ask that parents keep a close eye on young children as, as with any natural environment, there are hazards such as the brook, steep slopes and stinging plants and insects.
Can I bring my dog?No, for the sake of the woodland wildlife, we do not accept dogs (except service dogs).
Can I park my car next to the yurt? No, so as not to damage the meadow, all cars are left at the top of the valley. It is a short walk down to the yurt below.
Do you provide towels and bedding? We provide bedding for the beds but you will need your own bedding if using the futons or daybeds. Please bring towels for the shower.
Can we have campfires?Yes, we provide firewood and kindling for your log burner and campfire.
Do you take hen or stag parties? No, because of the quiet nature of the site, we cannot take large single-sex groups.
What extras should I bring?A torch is handy for moving around at night, wellies or walking boots, waterproofs in case of rain and slippers for inside the yurt.
