Luxury 4 star boatel moored in the Lochrin Basin on the Union Canal in the heart of Edinburgh sleeps 6+2.
Step aboard this purpose built houseboat and enjoy the feeling of the tranquil waters below you and the city centre around you. Being permanently moored, this boat does not move with the tides or current so you can relax in the knowledge that you will feel as safe as houses onboard!
Inside you can find 2 double cabins with TV/DVD player (plus wireless headphones), a recess with small bunk beds only suitable for under 10's), plus a sofabed, thereby suiting a large family or 2 families holidaying together.
There is a fully equipped galley kitchen with breakfast bar and stools, which also doubles as a great workplace if you are on a business trip as free wifi is available! The lounge area houses a 32" plasma TV with Amazon Fire TV for smart streaming.
There is a shower room onboard with toilet and wash basin and eco-friendly toiletries are supplied. A Scottish Canals shower block and laundry facilities can be found nearby which you will have access to for the duration of your stay.
Up on deck you can enjoy the city views whilst dining al fresco with the BBQ. Alternatively just sit and people watch with your favourite beverage in hand!
Locally you can explore the beauty of Edinburgh with its historic castle or take a hike up to Arthur's Seat and enjoy the incredible views. If you prefer a spot of retail therapy then be sure to hit Victoria Street, said to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley in Harry Potter!

We have a top of the range electric macerator toilet on board however all toilet paper etc must be disposed of into the bin provided to avoid blockages.
Does the boat move?No, this is static accommodation.
How central is the boat?5-7 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle
How noisy is the boat?We are located in a secluded pedestrianised area of the canal and so is much quieter than being on a main road. Weekends an be noisier. You may also hear some pumps operating when using the facilities on the boat.
