Description

On the edge of the High Weald you can discover an organic dairy farm with 2 gorgeous yurts and 2 beautiful shepherd's huts just over an hour from London.

Ash Yurt and Oak Yurt are great off grid properties for a family getaway as they sleep up to 4 people on a kingsize bed and double futon. With their own outdoor kitchens plus a firepit BBQ; perfect for toasting marshmallows and singing campfire songs around, you will never want to leave! A private composting loo sits nearby whilst a new wetroom with proper flushing toilets and showers can be found about 300 metres away at the farm. Ash Yurt is 16ft wide, whilst Oak Yurt is that bit bigger at 18ft wide, great for families with older children!

Barbara shepherd's hut is also a great option for a family of four. Inside you can find a double bed and bunk beds, which means the whole family can enjoy the rural location of the site. The hut is simple in style but has a basic kitchenette and an ensuite composting loo plus acces to a shared hot water outdoor shower!! Once the colder weather hits then you can enjoy access to the new shared bathrooms on the farm.

Daisy the shepherd's hut is great for a couple looking to get away from city life and back to nature. You can admire the views across the valley whilst enjoying your morning cuppa sat on the hut's front steps. Inside a kingsize double is the perfect place to rest your head after a day exploring the area and if you wish to stay connected then you can use the supplied USB charging points. Basic kitchen facilities including a gas hob are included but why not visit one of the many lovely local country pubs for a bite to eat whilst staying here. There is an en-suite compost loo in the hut and flushing toilets and hot showers can be found at the farm.

Set between Daisy Hut and Ash Yurt is the new outdoor shower that all guests are welcome to use - it is a liberating experience for those wishing to reconnect with nature. Back at Base Glamp there are fridges for storing all your food plus safe lockers where you can charge your phones. Everything has been thought of here to offer you a relaxing stay.

Locally there is plenty to see and do for all ages. Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn will intrigue the budding historians, whilst the children will enjoy visiting the garden maze. Alternatively take a day trip to the coast and visit Dreamland in Margate for a day of fun and a ride on the UK's oldest wooden roller coaster. Or why not simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm taking a stroll around the mapped trails, across the floors of bluebells and through the trees. Bikes and E-bikes are also available to hire for those who love to discover new places. Throughout the year, there are also extra activities and events that you can join in with! These include everything from bat walks, to yoghurt making workshops, an introduction to bee keeping and a summer foraging walk. Why not book your stay to coincide with one of these events!

The shepherd's huts are open all year round, whilst the Yurts are open from Easter Holidays till the end of October half term. Children welcome. No pets. No wifi - come here to disconnect and enjoy off grid living!
