Day 17 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to Caban Bach Eco Pod in Carmarthenshire.
Find out more about their visit:
First Impression:
It’s cute, quirky and compact. Take a short stroll to the shared wash facilities.
It was lovely to meet Eleanor and partner at last. We have worked with the family here since 2015.
The Accommodation:
Inside you can convert the bed into seating and dining so although it is quite small, it is a versatile space. There is a small kitchenette so you make this into a self catering stay. A great option for low budget holidays.
There are woodland walks around this 40 acre site and the beautiful West Wales beaches are within easy reach as well as Cardigan Castle. Even without moving from the pod you have a lovely green outlook!
Food and Drink:
Kitchenette facilities allow you to cook simple meals and you can join in with their famous food nights which they offer on Fridays (woodfired sourdough pizza) and Saturdays (fire food) from April through to October and December.
The onsite shop sells produce from their own organic garden as well as other local produce and essential goods. There is a pub 5 minutes up the road too.
Jess' top tip:
Enjoy your time in the Teifi Valley. Closest beaches are Llangrannov and Tresaith, visit Cilgerran Castle and arrange a canoe trip from the Wildlife Centre. There is dolphin watching from New Quay harbour or close by Dyfed Shire Horse Farm, Teifi Valley Railway or the National Wool Museum for a dose of Welsh traditions.
