Day 10 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to Hop Hideaway in Worcestershire.
Find out more about their visit:
First Impression:
It is a peaceful place and very pretty. This accommodation is set alone and the hut is spacious. It is clear that the owners want to make the guest experience a pleasure.
Great to meet Louise, Tony and Rebecca after working with them since 2015.
The Accommodation:
The hut was much larger than I expected and it has a woodburner and underfloor heating to keep you cosy. It is placed in a sunny spot, so even though we visited on a cold day, it still felt warm there when we sat outside!
You can enjoy sitting out on the deck, by an outdoor firepit that you could cook on, or in the jet hot tub which is ready and waiting for guests arrival. There are logs on hand to keep the indoor wodburner and firepit burning.
Food and Drink:
The owners leave you a quality hamper which includes a bottle of their own apple juice! There is a good kitchen inside including an oven so home cooking is easily done.
There are walks to several nearby pubs. We went to the Fox & Hounds for a hearty lunch which is a 45 minute walk away (or a 10 minute drive), but they will also deliver meals if you prefer.
Jess' top tip:
There is so much to do on this site, with a tennis court, animals to visit, a seasonal heated pool (with private session times) and a quirky games room with woodburner.
We loved watching the animal webcam on the TV, from which we saw badgers and deer in their natural habitat here.
I think this is a great place for a holiday, not just a short break.
