Day 11 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to Poacher's Perch in Herefordshire.

Find out more about their visit:

First Impression:

Although a gorgeous lakeside spot this is also close to civilisation with some road noise. The warm shower room is a short stroll away.

Great to meet Helen after working with her since 2016. She really does care about her guests.

The Accommodation:

Double doors open up to enter the hut with a large comfortable double bed to the left end with TV, kitchen to middle with oven, miscrowave and hob, full size sink and good fridge. So no difficulty with catering for yourself here!

To the right end there is a 2 seater sofa with TV across from a small table and chairs by a woodburner. The hut is insulated to keep it warm and comfortable.

Outside you look directly at the lake and have your own private fenced area with seating and covered hot tub.

The lakeside location is really pretty and great for those looking to fish during their stay. You may even spot some wildlife around!

Food and Drink:

The owners leave you some starter bits for your arrival: tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt, pepper and hampers can be ordered too.

If you're looking to eat out, then nearby Hereford offers a multitude of eateries for you to explore.

Jess' top tip:

Take time to simply relax and take in the view of the lake! This is a great spot if you like to fish as you can do it from your doorstep. Alternatively head to the skies with a helicopter flight experience.
