Day 26 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to Seabeds Luxury Hot Tub Lookout in Argyll and Bute.

Find out more about their visit:

First Impression:

Located in the stunning Glencoe Valley and just 20 minutes in the car from majestic Ben Nevis, in the heart of Lochaber.

This is a treat, a top end base from which to explore the area. You can enjoy stunning views of the loch, but note a road also passes by there.

Lovely to meet Katie whom we have worked with since summer 2022 and to hear they have adjusted their prices due to the current cost of living crisis to make this stay more accessible to people.

The Accommodation:

On arriving at Seabeds the first thing you notice is the lovely decking and outdoor seating area with a private hot tub with changing colour bulbs and loch view (for that instagram moment!)

Inside there is a relaxing sofa (which turns into a sofabed for 2 children), dining area and kitchen, shower room and large double bedroom. The cabin is spacious and has a quality finish to it.

There is a high tech screen to manage heating, lighting and even curtains. This is a sophisticated super sized pod, the perfect base for exploring this stunning area.

Sadly we didn't get to see all the stunning scenery in full en-route, but got a clear impression of the big scenery all around and managed to see enough to want to return one day.  But if you love mountains, meandering rivers, waterfalls and lochs, then it is definitely the place for you!

Food and Drink:

Some treats are left for you, and breakfast is delivered at 8.30 in the morning in a basket. Oats and yogurt, juice, bread, jam and pastries. Tea, a variety of coffee pods and milk.

The owners recommend various restaurants to book before you arrive. We went for the nearby Ballachulish Hotel which is a 10 minute stroll away and really enjoyed our seafood dinner there. Mussels from the loch!!

Other options recommended to us included The Holly Tree and The Laroch - both pubs, which are a 5 minute drive away.

Another choice for seafood is the Kinlochleven Seafood Cafe which comes highly recommended and is just a 15 minutes drive away.

Jess' top tip:

We really wanted to get out and explore this beautiful area so hired some e-bikes from the Seabeds site and followed a great cycle path along the long with mountain views.

After that we took the short drive to Glencoe Lochan where there are 3 different 45 minute walks you can enjoy. Both of them were great fun and a good way to explore the area!

There are lots of other options too, you can hire segways, play golf, visit Castle Stalker or Glen Etive - you certainly won't be lost for something to do here!
